If you have longed for a songbook that includes campfire songs, civil rights anthems, and Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep,” then you are in luck. Annie Patterson and Peter Blood, the folk singers behind the wildly popular classic Rise Up Singing (1988), have at last released a followup: Rise Again Songbook (Hal Leonard, 2015; $27.50). Like its predecessor, the spiral-bound Rise Again includes the chords and lyrics to nearly 1,200 crowd-pleasing songs. Tucked in alongside the original’s categories are new ones, such as “Pub Songs” (call and response/drinking songs), “Millennial Songs” (1995 to the present), and “Rock Around the Clock” (rock ’n’ roll from the 1950s and early ’60s)—a little something for everyone!
