Welcome to The Interdependent Web
One of the most popular features uuworld.org is Unitarian Universalists in the Media, our weekly news blog. Each week, assistant editor Sonja L. Cohen rounds up links to news stories about UU congregations and people from newspapers and other media all over the world. It would be impossible to mention in the pages of the quarterly UU World magazine all the coverage that UU congregations are generating — but with so many news organizations publishing on the Web now, we can easily track that coverage on our website.
We're pleased to introduce a second weekly blog, The Interdependent Web, which monitors the growing world of blogs and other websites that discuss Unitarian Universalism. Shelby Meyerhoff, a graduate of Harvard Divinity School and an active lay leader at the First Parish in Cambridge, Massachusetts, will be your guide each week. She'll offer highlights to the most interesting blog posts, YouTube videos, and websites related to UU life. She is also now writing UU World's quarterly "On the Web" column; her debut column appears in the Spring 2008 issue.
The magazine's weekly email newsletter will also include a link to new entries; sign up for your Monday morning dose of uuworld.org!
P.S. You can also keep up with UU blogs using one of several blog aggregators that collect links to new blog posts almost immediately. UUpdates.net is the most comprehensive; DiscoverUU.com and Kinja.com's UU Blogs Digest are more selective. Philocrites' Guide to Unitarian Universalist Blogs (by yours truly) provides brief introductions to a selective list of UU blogs.
