Interfaith gathering commemorates World AIDS Day
An Interfaith service to commemorate World AIDS Day was held at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Tallahassee, Fla., Tuesday, and included Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, and Jewish community members, as well as churches of different denominations. (Tallahassee Democrat - FL 12.2.09)

UU thoughts on Afghanistan
The Lakeland Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Wayne, N.J., hosted a talk by Nadia Akbar, named the 2009 Person of the Year by the New Jersey chapter of Peace Action, an international antiwar organization.
