Slain Binghamton professor remembered
Richard Antoun, a Binghamton University professor, Mideast scholar, and member of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Binghamton, N.Y., was fatally stabbed in his office one week ago. The community paid tribute this week to the 77-year-old peace activist who was remembered as "a friend of many faiths." (Ithaca Journal - 9.6.09)

The Boston Herald spoke to Antoun's brother-in-law, the Rev. David J. Miller, minister emeritus of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Worcester, Mass., who said he and Antoun "both had friendly views toward the Arab world" and "were trying to spread understanding.” (Boston Herald - 12.9.09)

The Unitarian Universalist Church in Binghamton set up two funds in memory of Antoun: for the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse and for Interfaith Programming. (WBNG-TV - 12.7.09)

Starr King statue back in California
