Thursday’s Service of the Living Tradition honored newly credentialed, retiring, and recently deceased religious professionals.

This year, 67 ministers received preliminary fellowship with the UUA; 49 received final fellowship. Four religious educators received Credentialed Religious Educator status, and one received Credentialed Religious Educator–Masters Level status. One musician received Credentialed Music Leader (Portfolio Path) status; four are receiving Certified Music Leaders status.

The service recognized 39 ministers retiring from full-time service, including two former UUA presidents, the Rev. John A. Buehrens and the Rev. Peter Morales, and honored 33 ministers who have died since last year’s Service of the Living Tradition.
