The Rev. Dr. Roberta M. Nelson is minister emerita of religious education at Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church in Bethesda, Maryland. A former president of the Liberal Religious Educators Association and vice president of the UU Ministers Association, she is coauthor of Parents as Resident Theologians, among other curricula, and contributed to the recent book Parenting Beyond Belief: On Raising Ethical, Caring Kids Without Religion.
