Side With Love, the Organizing Strategy Team of the UUA, is launching the 2026 edition of 30 Days of Love on January 19, according to the event’s official webpage.

“At a time when fear, violence, and extraction dominate our politics and our planet, we practice another way,” Side With Love said in a post announcing the annual event. “Over five weeks, we will move through a journey from imagination to action, rooting our freedom dreams in faith and bringing them to life in our world.”

The 2026 edition of the event will run from January 19 through February 16. Each week features new resources and original content, such as spiritual practices, conversations with UU theologians, and organizing strategies for social justice.

What follows is a quick explainer on what you need to know to join 30 Days of Love events.

What is 30 Days of Love?

30 Days of Love combines calls to action around issues such as climate justice, LGBTQIA rights, and immigration justice with various spiritual practices to cultivate compassion, mindfulness, and peace.

The event offers “an opportunity to collectively nurture our spirits, deepen our understanding, and take action on our values for collective liberation,” according to a  Side with Love statement about the first 30 Days of Love in 2022.

The 2026 theme is “Love at the Center: Reimagining the World as it Could Be.”

Rev. Brandan Robertson, Senior Communications Manager for Side With Love, said this year’s 30 Days of Love is “especially important.”

“As our country approaches significant political and historical milestones, Unitarian Universalists need shared language, practices, and tools that strengthen us for the work ahead. 30 Days of Love equips communities to reflect, organize, and act with integrity, helping us stay grounded in our principles while imagining and building a more just and loving world together,” Robertson said.

What Are the Weekly Themes of 30 Days of Love 2026?

All weeks listed below will be updated with hyperlinks as they become available. The themes, as described by the Side With Love team, are as follow:

Week 1: Reimagining Thriving

We begin in vision. What if thriving—not surviving—were the measure of our collective life?
This week invites us to dream boldly and theologically, rooting our imagination in joy, sustainability, and possibility.

Week 2: Grounding in Context

Our faith calls us to be present to the realities of our communities.
We’ll listen deeply, map our contexts, and ensure that our work remains accountable to those most impacted.

Week 3: Mobilizing Action

Love is not passive—it moves.
This final week invites us to take faithful action, bringing our shared dreams to life through creativity, strategy, and collaboration.

Week 4: Nurturing Community

Transformation happens in relationship.
We’ll focus on covenant, collaboration, and shared care—practicing how to stay connected even when the work is hard.

Week 5: Exploring Possibilities

Love calls us to curiosity and courage.
We’ll discern faithful next steps and experiment together, guided by solidarity and the vision of collective liberation.
